What Is A Good Way For Teens To Loose Weight?
I am trying to find a way to help many teens loose weight the healthy way (not binging or becoming an anorexic) and I need some ideas. Thanks!

exersice more.
I have worked with teens as a high school teacher for 19 years. The best way that I have seen is to reduce caloric intake by getting rid of caloric drinks. You would be SHOCKED at how many calories you consume each week in sodas, flavored coffees and sweet tea. Just cut them out….go to diet sodas and watch what happens. My own son did that ONE thing and has reaped the benefit. You can also cut back on portion sizes if you wish to lose more quickly. DO NOT deprive yourself and feel that you are “dieting” or you may start a yo-yo effect that will cause you to gain weight after losing it. You are right about doing it…”the healthy way.” Good luck!

get off the couch
get off the video games
stop eating junk food
stop eating candy
stop eating fast food
stop drinking soft drinks
stop drinking juices with high fructose corn syrup
Start some sort of sports or exercise hobby
be active
take the stairs when possible…walk or ride a bike
Use positive reinforcement
Well i dont mean to be a smart ***, but you can always go on the atkins diet. try different varieties of solutions
My best advise is that they do things that they like. When I say things I mean physical activities. If they are in middle school or high school it is much easier because it’s at school, where you know that they are safe, and it’s FREE. Even though some of the sports need for their team players to try out, there is a possibility for them to be on a jr varsity or something.
Also a good diet is very important.
EXERCISE.
exercise, balanced diet, more sleep (teens are often deprived of sleep) and more milk. Add more fruits and vegetables to the diet. Reduce sweets. Most of all, get plenty of water. Without water the body can’t function properly.
I have a friend who followed all of this and has lost nearly 60 lbs since last August.
The best way is for your teen to eat right and become active go out and run. You just need to get your heart rate up and keep it up while you are working out!
Parents should feed them a healthy diet, like the pyramid plan that consists of 5 veggies and fruits and keep away from red meat. Eat fowl, fish and pork, the other white meat. Give them a high fiber breakfast with high protein. Teach them to stay away from fast food restaurants, because of the risk of consuming trans fat and too many calories. Last but not least, don’t snack close to bedtime. Drink water instead of soda. And exercise. When preparing the foods, check the calorie count per serving. It is important to burn more calories than is consumed to lose weight.
activities, games and exercise
Maybe lose weight…
Don’t bore them!! Don’t go on and on and on about healthy eating and things….get them to exercise without them even realising they are actually doing themsleves some good. Nintendo Wii? Dance mats? Organised football matches? Trips to the Army?
eat fish , eggs and chicken and drink juice and milk, stay a way pop white rice, bread, eat cheese. on junk food.
If you can, form a group of teens for both support and fun!!! The best way is to exercise…walk, job, play a sport, anything physical!!! Not video exercise,,, eating right is always a good idea, (I should talk), but while you are all young, and have the energy, is the time to take action!!!!
Cut out on soda pop, cheese, fried foods and most of all REGULAR EXERCISE!!
Join a sport that is very active like swimming, or basketball, or a sport you enjoy that is very physical and keeps your body moving.
If you don’t want to do that, set up an exercise and diet plan…watch what you eat and maybe set a certain period each day for exercising.
Sometimes for fun, I play Dance Dance Revolution. DDR using the dance mats constantly keeps you moving and gives you a good beat to listen to. It is so much fun, but you need to have the game in order to do that (along with the system).
Exercise and eat a balanced diet.
Exercise and proper diet. That’s about it.
Get them off their butts and get active….think fast paced competitive sports like basketball and running the track..
When I was a teen, I basically ate what I wanted and stayed a svelt size 8 because of all the physical activities…
-I swam
-ran
-Walk
-cycled
-Played Tennis / Badmington
Depends on your age and BMI.. Moderate exercise to build lean muscles and keep heart healthy is recommended for people of all sizes, but if you are more than 20 pounds overweight its suggested you see your doctor and start a diet routine..I will
tell you how I lost 40 pounds in 6 months, I ate all organic food, walked 10 minutes a day and drank a glass of water immediately when I woke up and three more after meals..thats all, the reason were so fat here in the US is because of all the chemicals in our foods, we might lose weight but then put it back on after a while because we continue to eat the same foods. You CAN eat chocolate, as long as its organic..you CAN eat steak as long as its organic..of course also see your doctor as I’m not one, just stating what worked for me and what I believe. Good luck!
Excersice and good eating. Cutting down on the fast food, and just keeping themselves busy. I think most of the problem with today’s youth is the lack of excersice. They rather just stay home watching tv or playing video games, and of course eating junk food. That only contributes to their weight gaining.
go to curves and exercise and don’t get on the scale for a whole two weeks
Exercise! Fun exercise is best if they can find an activity they like.

exercise and eat healthy
