Comming from a Latin household, I can understand the need of parents talking to their kids about sex and prevention. Luckily for me, I learned about teen pregnancy through the experiences of some friends. And by not following in their foot steps, I have completed my dreams of going to college. Pregnancy prevention should start at home, and parents need to stop treating sex as taboo.

teen pregnancy is awful. you have not really lived and experienced life but you force yourself into parenthood. its a sad reality and a lot of these girls just go on to pop out tons of babies.

I’m not being ignorant. If I had a child, it would be poor, exploited bc I could not protect it, a burden and possibly raised partly by the state. Thus, I don’t have children. I was a burden-child.
Not really, poor people and undesirables do damages to countries. If I tried to go to another country, they’d be like HELL NO! The US has opened its doors to exploit poor people, and this is great for rich families and businesses for one generation. Then they wonder why they have problems with the second and third generations. We are not forcing Mexico to reform and deal with their own, using theirs instead for our cheap labor.
It wasn’t that uncommon to be a teen mother back in the day, but social structures were different, and so it was easier, more support. Today, in developed countries, it’s hard to succeed with a child if you don’t have an education, and there’s little pressure on the male to be a parent. And it’s really hard if you’re from true poverty. I lived on the border for awhile, and those mothers really fight to have their babies born on US soil, hard workers too.
